Springtime, Christy Hill
Oil on canvas 12"x24" hardwood frame
I often find painting subjects on my bike rides around the peninsula, and this vista was my reward after a strenuous pedal up Christy Hill. The blueberry barrens are beautiful in all seasons but especially in the spring, as in this painting, and fall, when they turn scarlet. What caught my eye was the interplay of blooming barren and the maples trees' nascent leaves.
