Peters Brook Angler
Oil on linen 30" x 40" painted edges
A favorite Blue Hill Heritage Trust Property, Peters Brook cascades down the hillside in a rush to get to Blue Hill Bay. I caught this young man with his fishing pole perched over the swirling onrush after an April deluge. The tannin in the water, likely leached from oak leaves, turns the water orange; the green comes from the reflected moss surrounding the brook. A very special place.
