Despite living half the year on a flower farm, I am ususally not allowed to pick the flowers being saved for customers. With this summer's abundant rain, however, there was finally enough to go around. Some of the cosmos in this informal bouquet (arranged not in a vase but in a sake pitcher) are the "seashell" variety, whose petals are tubular.
